Why rankings shift

• Ranger: Stays top tier. The strongest and most flexible carry, and the default endgame solo farmer since she is the fastest hero on the roster.
• Priest: Stays top tier. The early-game MVP for survival, and in the late game she can swap Heal for Wrath of Heaven to add real damage, so she stays valuable from start to finish.
• Knight: Dropped in the updated meta. Weak for roughly the first 20 levels, with his main value being the Aegis Field boss-cheese shield that lets a fragile carry survive an act boss. Considered useless for farming, since the late game is a damage race.
• Hunter: Very high ceiling and one of the top damage dealers, but currently held back by a bugged Explosive Bolt unique enchant that removes the cooldown while cutting roughly 90% of the damage (community-reported, unverified). Until it is fixed, run Frost Bolt plus Explosive Bolt scaling on crit, cooldown and projectile damage and skip that enchant; expect her rating to rise once it is patched.
• Sorcerer: Split role. Weak for pushing and bosses, but the king of farming thanks to heavy AoE plus slows (Ice Orb, Snowstorm) that also add a defensive layer for the team.
• Slayer: Slayer stays near the bottom in the updated meta. His skills look strong on paper (community: Crushing Bow about 620% to the main target and 350% splash, unverified), but he underperforms in practice and is widely seen as waiting for a balance patch.
• Endgame farming: For endgame farming, a solo Ranger is the default best because a party moves between waves at the slowest hero's speed, so the fastest hero running solo is fastest overall. An Arcana level-15 boots (about 40 movement speed, community-reported, unverified) is the prerequisite for multi-hero farming, because it bypasses that slowest-hero rule.
